Bio

Dr. Craig Ashley Blum joined Drs. Frank DellaCroce, and Scott Sullivan at the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery and the St. Charles Surgical Hospital in 2014. As the only hospital in the world dedicated to breast reconstruction for women facing breast cancer, Dr. Blum is part of a world renowned team pioneering revolutionary breast reconstruction techniques.

Dr. Blum graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology from the University of South Carolina and received his Medical Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He also served both his internship and residency in general surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in addition to completing a year of research in cancer genetics at the Hollings Cancer Center. In his final year of general surgery residency he served as the Administrative Chief General Surgery Resident. He completed three additional years of residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Tulane University and also served as Administrative Chief Plastic Surgery Resident.

As a resident, he was a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and American College of Surgeons. He has presented numerous papers and lectures at seminars, national conferences, and in academic settings; and he has published numerous journal articles and abstracts.
