It’s not always easy to find positives after being diagnosed with breast cancer, but finding these doctors was definitely a fortunate thing for me! The doctors and all of the staff at the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery and the St. Charles Surgical Hospital are truly amazing in their skill and dedication to their patients! It might sound cliche, but you actually feel like you have just been to visit a friend when you leave there! Feeling confident and BEAUTIFUL is a gift from God! Regaining that confidence and beauty after Breast Cancer is a gift from the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery! In this place, the doctors and nurses are all truly amazing! The work they do and the way they treat patients is as if you are the only patient. Dr. Wise was my doctor just a couple of weeks ago; he was so COMPASSIONATE and took all my worries away. It was the most amazing work. It was almost unbelievable when I came out of surgery. I will have stage 2 surgery soon and I’m really looking forward to being there again. It is like no other. I highly recommend this place for anyone dealing with breast cancer. When I left this hospital it was like saying goodbye to family. So glad, through all my consultations, I chose this place.

I absolutely cannot say enough about this place, the doctors or the care given, everyone from the nurses to the entire I absolutely cannot say enough about this place, the doctors or the care given. Everyone from the nurses to the entire ancillary staff is caring, helpful and always willing to assist. I have been treated 3 times at the Breast Center/St. Charles Surgical Hospital and each time I was treated with care that goes way beyond excellent. Most importantly, I recently completed my last surgery there and the results have blown me away.
I came to the Breast Center with failed implant reconstruction after 3 prior surgeries. I have a history of radiation with lumpectomy to one breast and ended up in the wrong hands with a surgeon who unfortunately felt implants would work, and he tried twice to make this happen. In turn I ended up with extensive damage to that breast. When I arrived at the Center, the skin was literally falling apart and the implant was extruding. I was very scared and felt things were possibly irreparable. To know what my surgeon started with and what he created as the end result is UNFATHOMABLE. I feel I look better than before any of these surgeries started, if you can believe that! The Breast Center gives back what cancer takes away and then some, and its done with compassion, empathy and magical skill. I am amazed every day I look in the mirror, and I know what a blessing this place is for woman like me. If I could give a million stars to rate the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery, I would gladly do just that!

My overall experience exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend St. Charles Surgical Hospital to anyone who might need their services. I spent three months first researching breast reconstruction options not only in Australia but around the world. After coming to a decision as to which reconstruction plan I felt was best suited for my circumstances and me, I then spent an equal amount of time searching for the best doctors around the world. I saw three doctors in person in Australia, I skyped with 10 surgeons around the world, and I also researched many others around the globe. I had no idea that the surgeons and surgery centre that I felt would be of the highest caliber would be located in New Orleans, but that is where my research took me.
I travelled 50 hours from Australia for this surgery, and I could not be happier with my decision. I am most grateful that surgeons like Dr. Sullivan, Dr. DellaCroce Ordyne, and the others at this centre have spent their lives studying as much as they have and creating such an incredible centre for women. I am glad they followed this path and dedicated their lives and careers to this field. We need more people like this in the world. I know first hand how many women they have helped and the difference they are making to so many lives. They go above and beyond for their patients. I, for one, am beyond grateful. I wish I were this well informed when my mother needed care. You have to be your own advocate in life. I felt as though I was my own advocate—and in the process, it took me to the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery. The surgeries they perform are so technically difficult. I know this first hand from being a surgical nurse myself. I could not express enough thanks for all that they have done for me. I am also so glad I chose this path of prophylactic treatment. It has made a world of difference in alleviating an enormous amount of additional stress. I will continue to recommend this centre and these surgeons to many groups and individuals for years to come. I love the Breast Center and St. Charles Surgical Hospital. I was thoroughly traumatized after my mastectomies and original reconstruction in Atlanta went all kinds of wrong. It took me 2 years to work up the courage to go for a second try at reconstruction. Two years of depression and extreme unhappiness with my poor, scarred up body. Dr. Wise did amazing work with my DIEP. Not only restored my breasts, but restored my mental health.

In my research, I had been seen by three Plastic/Oncology Surgeon teams. My searches took me to doctors that performed the Diep Flap procedure. I consulted with three. When discovering the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery, I looked at reviews and felt the experience of the procedure I needed would best be performed by surgeons whose main focus was the Diep Flap. When I was finally approved as a patient, I initially wanted to ‘select’ my surgeon. I was told Dr. Cabiling was the one who could do my surgery in a timely manner, as I had my diagnosis in March. I went online, of course, to research his credentials. A somewhat ‘newby’ at the Center, caused a slight hesitation, but after a telephone call with him I felt a connection that put my concerns to rest. He was courteous, friendly, informative, and quickly answered questions to my satisfaction. My results have been more than I could ever have expected. To come from two occurrences of cancer and years of fear, to having two breasts more full and beautiful than my original, has given me the greatest gift I could have received. Dr. Cabiling, is truly an accomplished, highly skilled surgeon and I will send the word out DAILY. Dr. Ordoyne was perfect for me. He took TIME to answer my questions, and exceeded my expectations with a long and highly appreciated consult. I never felt rushed in this difficult topic of ridding me of the recurring cancer. My concerns about saving my nipples and skin were resolved during the surgery and I remain whole in that respect – an appreciated ‘Miracle’.
